Course description

In this course, participants will review relevant evidence and strategies to use when targeting grammar goals. Participants will also be given practical demonstrations of how literacy-based therapy can facilitate meaningful and functional outcomes for our students when targeting these types of goals.

Objectives

1. Participants will be able to identify evidence-based strategies that can be used when targeting grammar goals in therapy.
2. Participants will be able to describe three activities that can be used when first introducing a grammar concept.
3. Participants will be able to describe three activities that can be used when providing students with embedded practice opportunities.

Level: Intermediate

Instruction at the Intermediate Level assumes some familiarity with the basic literature as well as some experience in professional practice within the area covered and is targeted for more experienced professionals. The pace of the training and difficulty of concepts presented require more advanced knowledge and skills than the Introductory Level. Examples used at this level are often based on recent research and case studies that are complex in nature.
